Candidate for President

William (Bill) Spiers, Jr.

Statement of Candidacy

It is an honor to have been selected as a candidate for the position of President-Elect of SASFAA. One of the greatest privileges is the opportunity to serve your colleagues and I would welcome the opportunity to serve our membership. Having worked as a director of financial aid since 1983, I have learned and appreciated the importance of our professional associations. The friendship, the guidance, and the support from our fellow members has been instrumental in my growth and success as a financial aid professional. If given the opportunity to serve as your President-Elect, I will have the opportunity to give back to SASFAA and those for whom I have deep respect. As President-Elect I will seek to embrace our past while seeking to develop a vision for a future.  There is much work to be done over the next few years and I stand ready to serve if elected.
